Their innovative woodless design results in more expressive drawing thanks to a greater distribution of pigments and a thick lead. They allow for delicate and precise layers or wide and intense strokes, and thanks to their soft lead, they blend extraordinarily well. They can be sharpened using a traditional pencil sharpener, and the shavings can be used to make gradients.
